Painting Parties in Redmond Oregon

What is the cost of a paint event at Wine Not Paint?

The cost of an average event is $35-49 for a 2-3 hour session.  Some of our paintings require a little more or less time and complexity, therefore they may be priced differently.  The cost for all events is clearly identified on our calendar.  The price for the event includes all art supplies, step by step and hands on instruction, as well as, your first beverage of choice.  What if  I get my painting home and decide I need to fix something or want to add more detail to it?  Come back and visit us any time during our Open Paint Studio sessions, at no cost, and we will provide you with all supplies to "touch up" your work of art.

What do I need to bring?

Yourself & your creativity!  You may also bring your favorite beverage as well as appetizers, desserts or snacks to enjoy…we’ll provide the rest.  Paints, brushes, a canvas, easel and aprons are also included, as well as, a complimentary beverage of your choice.  We provide all drinkware and tableware for your convenience!  NO there isn't a corkage fee!  We even clean up! You are our guests. It is a painting party and we are your hosts.

What kind of alcoholic beverages can I bring?

You may bring any wine, wine based products, beer, hard cider or non-alcoholic beverages.   Apologies, but our licensing does not cover any hard alcohol.  If you plan to bring your own bottle, please understand that Oregon Liquor Law states per ORS 471.178(4) that: "The holder of a limited on-premises sales license shall only allow a patron to remove a partially consumed bottle of wine from the licensed premises if the wine is served in conjunction with the patron’s meal, the patron is not a minor and the patron is not visibly intoxicated."  Please understand this applies to growlers as well.  You are welcome to bring a growler but once it has been opened any unconsumed alcohol cannot leave the premises.  Therefore, in observance of the law and the fact that we do not serve meals, we cannot allow you to take any partially consumed bottles off the premises once they have been opened.   Any alcoholic beverages brought into the establishment must be factory sealed upon arrival.  We greatly appreciate your understanding of our need to abide by the law.  This allows us to continue to offer you a fun & creative paint party experience. Under all circumstances, you must be at least 21 years old to consume alcohol. We reserve the right to require a valid photo ID from all guests. We do expect that all painters act responsibly both on and off the premises. If necessary, please arrange for a designated driver to ensure you arrive home safely with your masterpiece.

What if I am under 21 or do not drink alcohol?

We offer an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages as well.  The option to bring or purchase wine, beer and snacks is not mandatory, it’s just a very fun perk.

Do I have to paint the featured painting?

No, you can certainly paint whatever inspires you. Please keep in mind instruction will be limited to the featured painting. We encourage your creative spirit and invite you to add your own personal touches. That's what makes it so wonderful; seeing different variations of the same painting.  If you would like to paint from your own inspiration, you can also visit us during our Open Studio sessions. $25 gives you access to all of our supplies. We will be available to help and answer questions, however there is not step by step instruction available during these sessions.

How long does the event last?

The event will last approximately 2 to 3 hours unless otherwise noted. Event time varies depending on the group and particular painting. We always recommend giving yourself extra time so that you are not rushed. We invite you to join us up to a half hour prior to event to take your coat off, grab your favorite beverage, get comfortable & get acquainted.  Seating is on a first come, first served basis.

What should I wear?

While we do provide aprons, you shouldn't wear anything that you couldn't live with getting a little paint on. Acrylics are not forgiving and typically will not wash out once they have dried.  Please remember that Wine Not Paint is a "painting" studio and paint can end up anywhere!  Wine Not Paint is not responsible for paint getting on personal items.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Yes, signing up in advance is always recommended. Our events can accommodate 30 painters and tend to sell out quickly! Choose a painting from our calendar, then simply click on 'Register Now 'for online registration. If you prefer, you can call to reserve your spot. We cannot guarantee you a spot on a walk-in basis.

Can we host a private party at Wine Not Paint?

Yes, of course, please do! See our Special Events page for more details.

What is an Open Paint Studio Session?

We love it here in our studio & we think you will too.

Open Paint Studio is a self-directed paint session where you paint what you want.  Have you been wanting to “Put Paint to Canvas” but don’t have the supplies or want to paint splatter your own home? Or, are you just looking to relax and enjoy some well-deserved "me time" alone or with friends, sipping your favorite beverage? This is your opportunity to explore you’re own creativity in an unstructured, inspiring, creative studio setting. Go abstract or use our paintings for inspiration. You might even bring personal photos and your own collage materials to add to your canvas. Be Unique! Be You! We can't wait to see what you create!

There are no rules & no age restrictions.  However, we do request that children under 12 be accompanied by an adult.  We will provide you with the needed painting supplies.  However, we do not offer step-by-step instruction during our Open Paint Studio sessions.

We do have additional blank canvases available for purchase should you be so inspired.

$25 per person includes your choice of one 9x13 or 16x20 canvas, all paint supplies and a complimentary beverage of your choice.

Can I tip the Artist for doing a great job?

Absolutely!!  As we all know, tips are generally given when good service is given.  We believe that being taught how to paint a painting is quite a service indeed!  Of course, tips are not mandatory, however if you feel like your artist deserves a tip then by all means please do.  There is a tip jar located in the studio.
